Our Cause

Hands-on volunteering, serving the

Los Angeles community

Project Lux at UCLA is the founding chapter of the Project Lux nonprofit, a student-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding healthcare access to unhoused and underserved populations. We strive to connect students with opportunities to create tangible change for these communities within Los Angeles.

Our Projects

BenefitsCal Enrollment

Our Navigators assist individuals with enrolling in BenefitsCal services, namely MediCal, CalFresh, and Cash Aid.

Referrals

Connecting individuals with crucial services such as LIFE bus passes and free clinics.

Care Packages

Creating and distributing food, medical, and personal hygiene supplies.

Advocacy

Spreading awareness and breaking down misconceptions about the unhoused community throughout UCLA and beyond.
